Once again Jora’s Collection of formal evening gowns were the centre of attention in the Uniquecapture studio when Jora visited us as part of their preparations for a special appearances at no less than two Fashion Shows to be staged this month.
Shami, our contact at Jora Collections, was present at the shoot and in between sets she revealed why she views it as crucial to develop a close working relationships with her suppliers. In fact that this was one of the deciding reasons that she chose Uniqucapture, because she specifically wanted to work with a local Milton Keynes photographer.
She applies this ethos not only to her photographer, Shami also prefers to work with models whom she already knows well. Here at Uniquecapture we offer a complete 360 degree service and so it’s not unusual that we’re asked to source professional models for fashion shoots.
The shoot it’self took place in front of the white infinity cove in Studio One and followed the same format and technical set-up that we’ve used for Jora in the past. By working this way we are able to offer Jora continuity in their product photography. This way all images look in keeping with one another when they’re added to Jora’s website or catalogue.
In times past achieving this was easier said than done. A product photographer would need to use their judgement and keen eye to match the lighting and composition to previously taken images. Today of course all this is now computer controlled, and the systems that we use here at Uniquecapture meticulously catalogue all the technical data we need to recreate a shoot at a later time. This also provides the added advantage of reducing the set-up needed to prepare for a shoot and so helps us to deliver affordable commercial photography as efficiently as possible.
We think that additions to Jora’s range are going to fly off the rails and would like to wish Jora success with all the fashion shows they attend during the 2015 season.local photographer, Professional models
