Apr 02, 2019 Restaurant Food Photography – Banana Tree Milton Keynes!
Restaurant food photography is one of our favourite things to shoot here at UniqueCapture. You can imagine how excited we were when we got a great opportunity to photography for Banana Tree in Milton Keynes. Have you eaten here before? Their food is delicious.
RESTAURANT FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY FUN!
Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome from the staff and it’s safe to say we were well fed! Naturally we couldn’t work on an empty stomach? The food was spicy, sweet and full of flavour. We would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try something different. You won’t be left hungry! In fact we liked the food so much we went there for our own Christmas party!!
After our delicious lunch, we began to set up our equipment in one corner of the restaurant. We like to be well prepared and therefore brought enough kit with us to tackle any situation. We set up our Profoto B2 lights, which are absolutely ideal for location work. They are light and compact and achieve great results. Also we like to shoot tethered to a screen where possible so our client can see the results instantly and direct us where needed.
With this set up we shot Banana Tree’s entire menu. The chefs were working hard in producing all the food for us to photograph. Our in-house food photographer and stylist was shooting these dishes, using her trusty tools to ensure that everything looked fresh and appetizing.
Whilst this was going ahead, our other commercial photographer was shooting stills and video all around the restaurant. He had a great bunch of customers to interact with who were so much fun! They had so much energy and made his job that little bit easier.
Video has become more and more demanding recently so we were very pleased to capture some exciting moments at this popular restaurant. Our in-house video editor then stitched the footage together to make a great social media clip. You can check out all things video and other projects we have shot from our video page.
All in all it was a great day and we really enjoyed the entire shoot. Click here to see a sneaky behind the scenes video!
