Shooting restaurant photography at the new Miller & Carter steakhouse in Milton Keynes

There is a new steakhouse in town, and we were lucky enough to be invited inside prior to its grand opening. It was our pleasure to capture the restaurant in its quietest state, showing off its luxury brass, glass and bull themed interior.

As a company, we get very excited when shooting restaurants and anything to do with food, a professional photographer of ours has many years of experience in styling and shooting food photography. However, this time around our only duty was to capture the interior shots of the restaurant décor, along with a few key staff member portraits of the head chef and the restaurant manager.

In preperation for the build-up to the opening night, cleaners, contractors and deliveries all seemed to coincide with our arrival, this can be a problem we face as photographers when shooting on location out of the photo studio! Despite this, with a small amount of crowd control, our images did not feature any unexpected faces in the reflections of the pristinely clean glass or mirrors.

As a standard, each hour of professional photography includes half the amount of time for post production and edit, meaning if something or someone did manage to slip into the reflection of a shot, it could easily be removed by one of our editing whizzes back in the studio.

Checkout some of our favourite images from the shoot below, including a spooky shot of our professional photographer with no reflection!
