Jora collections returned to our Milton Keynes photography studio this week with their latest collection of exquisite dresses for the SS17 collection. One of the models, Theresa had flown in from the Czech Republic the day before and with the second model Emily travelling up from London on the train.
With over 80 dresses to shoot in just 8 hours it was going to be a full day. However, we have worked with Anika (the make up artist) and the two models on many commercial photography shoots in the past so we hoped it would run like clockwork.
We had a great day. The lighting set up was pretty simple with a Broncolor Para 133 connected to a Profoto Ring flash and Acute D4 power pack. We always shoot fashion photography in the studio tethered to a monitor so that the client can select the images as we go along. It also makes it much easier to see if there are any issues with the styling or stray hairs etc that need sorting out.
The models are always great fun and this time was no exception. Theresa has spotted our new bathroom set so deiced that a few iPhone shots in the bath, complete with ballgown would be the right thing to do!
Emily didn’t want to be left out so joined in as well…..
Despite the brief bathroom interruption we got all the shots done with time to spare. Thanks to a great team who help make these commercial fashion shoots in our Milton Keyes studio both a success and good fun too.
